This year we had a very successful Poppy collection at Braehead from 27th October until 29th October 2022. Yet again I am so grateful to Lydia Brown of Braehead for accommodating us.

Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th were probably most busiest days of the whole Poppy Appeal as we were in Braehead, Marks and Spencer’s, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Thanks to Gary’s military style planning it went through seamlessly. From 30th October until 10th November we had a tabletop collection at Sainsbury’s Braehead. In between on 9th November we had our Ibrox collection this was very challenging collection as this was our very first mid week evening collection, the evening was very wet and cold, we were not allowed to collect inside the stadium but outside in the most harrowing conditions. Despite all our collectors who donned Poppy tabards The fans missed us as they were seeking shelter of stadium from the rain, needless to say this was our poorest collection. On Saturday 5th we had a collection at Aldi Renfrew.

Yet again The Rotary Club of Renfrew members, their friends and loyal volunteers proved the fantastic teamwork.

On behalf of Poppy Scotland and our Veterans, Renfrew Rotary members and the loyal supporters would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, to make this appeal a success.

So far we have deposited £24,256.85
