On Robert’s bucket list was to fly in a hot-air balloon. Renfrew Rotarians clubbed together for his 60th Birthday to send him up in a hot-air balloon. Rotarian’s John Stuart, David Atkinson and Robert made the long awaited trip to the Cotswolds in July. They were cancelled the first day and it was touch and go for the second but they managed to take off on the Friday morning at 5:30am after a 2 hour trip to get to the launch site. It was an amazing sight to see the balloons close up as well as drifting through the skies without a care in the world.
